A lovely shot on a lovely night with Malc at the observatory, where we both took turns on the 235mm Celestron at f/6.3. I stacked a few images, removed the slight trailing and optimised the nebula and stars from the background.
I have pushed the brightness and contrast of this picture, and can see a large faint circular dark nebula (dust) around the nebula with a lane going up and left, and a hint of dust at PA 15 degrees. I checked this out on the STScI archive images and it was real.
